Wednesday 14th February (or more probably the 21st)

10am – 4.00pm

Mid-way between Shore Hall Lane and Bullhouse Bridge; east of Ecklands Bridge

Where: Mid-way between Shore Hall Lane and Bullhouse Bridge; east of Ecklands Bridge

Meet: On the Trail at Shore Hall Lane, or on site at around 10.15

What will we be doing?
Working with BMBC Countryside Rangers to thin/prune a line of poor quality Goat Willows adjacent to a small deciduous wood, in order to encourage the wood to thrive; creating willow tit nesting posts where possible, and collecting litter.

Parking: Please arrive on foot or by bike if you can. If you need to come in your car you may prefer to park alongside the A628 at Bullhouse Bridge and walk along (ten minutes) as Shore Hall Lane is very narrow and offers few parking spots.

You’ll need to wear…Old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or torn, sturdy footwear and gloves – waterproof if it’s wet -to protect your hands.

Do bring… A packed lunch – we’ll provide tea, coffee, fruit juice and biscuits in the morning and afternoon. We do have tools and equipment, but you’re welcome to bring your own (in good condition) if you prefer. Don’t forget the waterproofs (and the suncream)!
