Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / MOT Tester (£13.50 – £18.00 per hour)

We are looking for fully qualified and experienced MOT Testers / Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics to cover short and long term contracts. Whether you’re semi-retired, freelance, self-employed, a sole trader, just looking for temporary work to run alongside what you’re currently doing, or just want weekends – we have contracts to suit everyone! 

 

We guarantee a minimum of 8 hours a day, paying on average £13.50 per hour (increasing with experience and distance travelled) We will also pay £1 per hour more for MOT Testers willing to also do Technician work. You will be entitled to claim back expenses including 45p per mile for fuel, up to £10 a day on food and hotel costs if you ever chose to stay away.

 

We require all Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics to be qualified to a level 3 standard (or equivalent – time served considered) with at least 3 years’ experience within a working environment. Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics duties will be light technician work only, including PDI’s, servicing and MOT failure repairs. 

MOT Testers will need to have an active and clean licence with knowledge on current MOT standards. This role requires the successful applicants to have a full UK driving licence, their own vehicle and tools (if doing tech work).
