Radio Producer / Trainee Producer
Role description
Are you interested in finding out how a radio show is put together and help plan it? Penistone FM is looking for volunteer Radio Show Producers to work with the current team of presenters in helping to do such things as, researching topics, stories and content, booking and looking after guests for studio interviews, editing interviews and ensuring balance within the output.
If you are full of good ideas and would like to work mainly behind the scenes but with an opportunity to contribute to on air content and sound then this may be ideal for you. This position requires a strong weekly commitment as part of a small team. Looking to get started in radio but not sure in which part, then a background in Community Radio production could be a good start.
Ideal skills or experience – Good communicator, well organised, interested in local news, good pc skills and knowledge of the Penistone surrounding area plus willing to learn new skills. It should be noted that the position may be subject to a CRB check, references and trial period.
