Local Radio for the Penistone and Stocksbridge areas

A small number of presenters are recording shows at home rather than in the studio. This means that during some shows, you cannot contact the presenter on air in the usual way, but you can still get in touch through this website or via social media; you will not get an immediate response though, so please bear with us.

Penistone FM is a not-for-profit local radio station serving Penistone, Stocksbridge and the surrounding areas. Broadcasting on 95.7 FM, 97.7 FM, streaming online and to your smart speaker, we aim to entertain the community with great music, news, information about local events and local people, radio drama and more. Please browse our website, then get in touch, to volunteer, to advertise, or just to get involved in a show.

Penistone FM are working with Barnsley Council’s Pathways to Work team to give residents in the area, who are not in work or training, the opportunity of helping to gain confidence to progress towards discovering strengths and take the first step towards work, training or education. The workshops are fully funded, and there will be four sessions over a four week period – you will be attending with a small number of other people.
