PALS Support Assistant

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide administrative support to the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).

You must be someone with empathy and understanding when dealing with patients and their families who may contact the PALS department, signposting them to appropriate services or departments, as well as being able to provide a comprehensive administrative support to the PALS Manager.

This includes maintaining current systems and developing new ways of working with consistency and accuracy.

You will need to have good communication skills, but primarily the ability to use IT packages, as the role significantly involves inputting information/data processing. The post holder will be expected to maintain the PALS resource room and assist the PALS Manager with the Care Experience stand.

You will be required to work Thursdays and Fridays and will be expected to work independently.

You should hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent in customer care or similar related qualification/experience and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages.

Salary: £18,813 – £20,795 per annum pro rata
