We are looking to recruit a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant to work 20 hours per week at our branch located in Barnsley. Please note where appropriate we may be willing to consider a Trainee for this role.

The proposed shift pattern is:

Tuesday 5:00pm – 11:00pm

Wednesday 10:00am – 3:00pm

Thursday 10:00am – 3:00pm

Friday 10:00am – 2:00pm

This vacancy is on a permanent basis, however is conditional upon successfully completing the probationary period.

As a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the business in providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for providing support with the dispensing and labelling of prescription items.

Additional responsibilities will include receiving prescriptions and handing out prescription items and assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services is desirable; skills in planning, attention to detail and working under pressure are all required.

The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to your role. You will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
