Annual Dawn Chorus Walk at Wharncliffe Heathlands Reserve

Sunday 28th  May

Meet at the R Don bridge on Station Road, Deepcar (map reference SK 291 980/post code S36 2SQ) at  4.30am

The walk will be led by Andrew Hill of Wharncliffe Heathlands Trust who will identify birds singing during the walk around the woodland and heathlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to put a name to some familiar birdsongs and also some of the rarer visitors and residents of Wharncliffe.

Bird species that could be  heard and seen include Wood Warbler, Redstart,Cuckoo, Tree Pipit, Spotted and Pied Flycatcher.

Wear stout footwear and bring warm clothes and refreshments. The walk will finish by 9.00am.
