Discover Masterstrokes exhibition treasures with York Museum Trust talk

Jenny Alexander, Assistant Curator of Fine Art, York Museums Trust, will be leading an in-depth look at the treasures on display as part of York Museum Trust’s touring exhibition, Masterstrokes, at Cannon Hall Museum on Tuesday 5th August at 6pm.

The Masterstrokes exhibition sees Cannon Hall playing host to a special selection of York Art Gallery’s finest paintings until Sunday 12th October.

It features 33 pieces of work including 15th century Italian paintings, sumptuous 18th century portraits by Hogarth and Allan Ramsay, Victorian masterpieces including Hogarth’s Studio by EM Ward and LS Lowry’s iconic view of York.

Tickets for the talk cost £5 and are £3 for Friends of Cannon Hall, Friends of York Art Gallery, Friends of the Cooper Gallery and Art Fund Members.
