The spectacular free event will be taking place on Sunday, 2 August, from 11am to 3pm.

It will be a fun day out for all the family, held in the picturesque surroundings of the award winning park and gardens.  People will have a great time on the front lawn of the Georgian Country house, listening to sounds from the 1920s.

As well as the picnic itself the team from Creative Recovery will be providing and array of entertainment.  People can take part in traditional sports, get creative in the art area and enjoy interludes of live music and performance.

Visitors are invited to come along and meet characters of the period.  They will be telling tales of the lives of those who lived both upstairs and downstairs in the great hall.

Those attending can pre-order vintage picnic baskets from the museums online shop 01226 790 270 or bring their own tasty treats.
