Research Associate in Robot Reliability
This post provides you a rare opportunity to contribute to the emerging science of making intelligent robots reliable, ethical, trustworthy and safe to use. You will contribute with developing demonstrations of the methods obtained during the project to enable reliable and widespread use of aerial robots in safety critical deployments.
You should hold a PhD (or be nearing completion) in a relevant area of computer science, applied mathematics or engineering, such as measurement and control systems, electrical engineering, artificial intelligence, image processing, computer vision, learning systems, simulations, formal methods, statistical methods, etc.
While you will have an opportunity to build on your own research experience and strength to contribute to robotics, you will also be expected to contribute to Sheffield’s reputations as the leading centre of control system science and systems engineering for robotics.
