Apply your expertise in deep learning and data modelling to collaboratively solve real challenges in aerospace propulsion, which will underpin quality journal research. Working with world-class industrial and academic leaders at the University of Sheffield, you will become a member of a leading research department and highly respected research centre uniquely specialising in the control and monitoring research for Rolls-Royce.

You will develop a modelling framework at multiple scales to effectively design and evaluate resilient health monitoring systems for gas turbines. The models and system framework you develop will allow gas turbine monitoring to be more effective and improvements to aircraft operations evaluated.

You will have a PhD (or be close to completion), in Mathematics, Physics or Engineering or have equivalent experience..

This post is fixed-term for 12 months to start as soon as possible.

Salary is £31,688 to £40,322 per year
