The Sheffield Children’s Hospital are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to recruit to this Secretarial Assistant vacancy. This post will be working within the General Paediatrics team. Hours of work are Thursday and Friday, 15 hours a week.

The successful applicant must possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with staff of all levels throughout the hospital and to the wider Trust, as well as parents/guardians and GPs dealing effectively and efficiently with telephone enquiries. You will need to have the ability to work on your own initiative in prioritising your work and meeting deadlines whilst maintaining high standards.

The minimum requirements for this post are educated to GCSE standard including grade C or equivalent in English, and RSA level 2 typing/word processing/ audio typing or equivalent qualification / experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to a clear understanding of patient confidentiality. You must possess a good working knowledge of IT packages and the ability to work across a mixed skill team. Salary is £17,460 – £18,702 per annum pro rata
