The post holder will:

  • provide senior leadership in the planning of the Directorate medical rotas and leave, oversee and deliver each medical changeover and induction programme.
  • ensure the annual medical education programme is delivered to a high standard supported by clinical colleagues and their team.
  • provide senior leadership and line management to the Clinical and Nursing Administration Teams ensuring the structure meets service needs, roles are clear and the performance of the staff is effectively managed.

You will be supporting the Assistant Service Manager Obstetrics and Clinical Administration and working closing with the Clinical Director and Clinical Leads.

The Directorate of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology is both large and wide ranging in the services it provides. Based in the Jessop Maternity Wing and G Floor of the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, in Sheffield we serve the city of Sheffield as well as providing highly specialist services to the wider region.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proactivity, the ability to prioritise demanding workloads and to provide examples of contributing as an effective team leader to the collective delivery of excellent administrative and clerical services. A desire to work in a fast paced environment is essential.

Candidates must have a combination of excellent interpersonal skills, a thorough and methodical attention to detail with exceptional organisational and planning skills.
Applicants should have experience of managing staff and developing a team, be a competent user of Microsoft office packages and have experience of complex rota and timetable management.

Salary: £22,128 to £28,746 pa/pro rata for part-time staff
