Tour de Wharncliffe Heath

Wharncliffe Heathland Trust  are running a tour of the local nature reserve on Sunday 7th May

Meet at the R Don bridge on Station Road, Deepcar (map reference SK 291 980/post code S36 2SQ) at 11.00am

People  attending will learn about  the connections  between  birch bashing, Shetland sheep and nightjars.

It is hoped that those attending may also catch a sight of some of the species the reserve exists to conserve such as tree pipits and tiger beetles.

Where stout footwear and bring along some water proof clothing and binoculars if you have them.

The tour is due to be completed by 2.30pm.
