Trans Pennine Trail conservation volunteers work day (Penistone – Dunford Bridge)

Saturday 7th March 9.30am – 4.30pm On the Trail, east of the access at Shore Hall Lane.  The meeting point is at the site.

What will they be doing? They’ll be cutting back vegetation; removing old wood and overhead branches, and giving the seating area and information panel a spring clean.

There is very little parking in Shore Hall Lane itself, so please come on foot or by bike if you can. If you have to come in your car, please park in Leapings Lane and walk along (five minutes).

You’ll need to wear…warm old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or torn, sturdy footwear, and warm gloves – perhaps waterproof – to protect your hands.

Do bring waterproofs and a packed lunch – they will provide you with tea, coffee, fruit juice, biscuits and conversation. They do have tools, but you’re welcome to bring your own bow saw or loppers, in good condition, if you prefer.

You’re welcome to give Kate a ring on 07704 333 445 or 01484 865 852, if you have any questions or need further information – or have a look at the website tptcv.co.uk or their Facebook page facebook.com/tptconservationvolunteers
