Penistone FM is pleased to be able to offer young people from the local area an opportunity to undertake free training.
The training is a mix of theory and hands-on practical experience that will benefit anyone aiming at a future in media or looking to build their confidence in general.
What will I learn ?
Find out what it’s like being a presenter in a professional radio studio.
Learn how to interview people for radio
Boost your confidence, whether you want to be a radio presenter, journalist, actor, singer or even a teacher!
You will also gain insight into voluntary work experience and help with developing your CV
Make new friends and enjoy unique experiences with other young people in your local area.
Where will this take place ?
Suite 7, Penistone 1, St Mary’s Street, Penistone, S36 6DT.
Sessions will normally last 1 to 2 hours generally once a week over a number of months.
The course is open to all young people in the locality aged 16-25.
Numbers are strictly limited to ensure that everyone on the training receives a worthwhile experience; either working one-to-one or in a pair.
The tutors all have enhanced DBS clearance to allow them to work with young people.
