in St John’s Church, Penistone on Saturday 21st April

Liam took his own life on the 26th October 2016. He was suffering with depression and was addicted to Ketamine.

There were over 300 people at his funeral at St Johns, probably half of them, young people who had either struggled with Ketamine or were still struggling. Following Liams death his mother Jo was inundated with messages from people asking if there would be a place for them to go where they could remember Liam and thus the idea of a Remembrance Garden was born.

They raised over £2000 which has gone to pay the church architect for plans. The plans have been passed now and a deadline has been set to complete the garden by August.

Unfortunately they still have to raise £7000 to pay for materials and labour and the work will need to start at the beginning of May.

The Concert is in memory of Liam but also to raise awareness off drugs and Mental Health. It will be held on 21st April at 7.30pm in St John’s Church. There will be a Sax Quartet, a young, local  singer-songwriter called Toby Burton and local band Area Nine. It promises to be a fantastic night of love and community spirit.
