On Saturday/Sunday 22/23 December

From around 4pm Saturday until 7am, Sunday, look up (mostly North) at around 45 deg above the horizon. According to the Time and Date website: ‘The Ursids meteor shower is active annually between 17th December and 24th December. The shower usually peaks around 23rd December. At its peak, observers may be able to view as many as 10 meteors in an hour.’

That’s nowhere near as many as the Geminids earlier in the month. There’s a neat, animated graphic on the site showing us just where to look.
