Springvale Community Garden is now a registered charity. They will continue to be a not-for-profit organisation, run entirely by volunteers.

It’s easy to get involved, and you don’t need to be a good gardener. Everyone, young and old, is welcome. You might be interested in conservation or just want to get out, meet people and do something positive.

At the moment, they are particularly keen to find someone who could help them revamp their website.

They’re very keen for more people to visit and use the garden. There’s an orchard, a pond, bug hotels, hops, raised beds and polytunnels for lots of different kinds of vegetables.  There’s a very interesting Physic Garden too.

They have regular visits from school groups who enjoy getting stuck into planting and weeding. They have a meeting room and kitchen so it’s perfect for small meetings and parties.

You can pop down every Saturday & Wednesday between 10.00am and 2.00pm.

Find out more about volunteering on special open days at the Garden on Saturday 25th April and Wednesday 6th May.
