Police appeal for witnesses to car crash at Flouch roundabout

Two drivers were seriously injured in a head-on collision near to Flouch Roundabout on Saturday morning (30 August).

Two cars, a silver Volkswagen Sharan people carrier and a silver Honda Civic, were involved in a crash at around 8.45am as they drove along the A628, near to the junction with the A616.

The driver of the VW, a 40-year-old Rotherham man, and the Honda driver, a 53-year-old Barnsley man, are both currently in hospital with serious injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who saw the cars in the lead-up to the crash and to anyone who witnessed the collision.

Anyone with information should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 323 of 30 August 2014.
